OFFCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

Advanced market workflows

Engineer the coordination between legs.

Build around the entire workflow: observation, decision, execution and residual exposure. OffchainTech scopes multi-venue and inventory-sensitive systems from your defined methodology, without promising opportunities or returns.

WORKFLOW / ENGINEERINGIllustrative

Multi-leg control loop

  1. 01Observe venues
  2. 02Evaluate constraints
  3. 03Coordinate legs
  4. 04Reconcile exposure

Architecture example only. No quoted opportunity, live spread or performance data.

01 / SCOPE

Specify the route and its failure cases.

A displayed difference is only one input to an executable workflow.

Cross-market routes

Scope triangular arbitrage, CEX–CEX, DEX–DEX and CEX–DEX routes around selected instruments and permitted interfaces. Define quote freshness, available balances, fee assumptions and the response when one leg executes while another becomes unavailable.

Spot, futures and funding

For spot–futures, funding and basis workflows, specify contract selection, sizing relationships, settlement inputs and unwind conditions. Document how funding estimates, margin changes, expiry and transfer dependencies enter the decision process rather than treating a displayed spread as a realised result.

02 / SCOPE

Make quoting and exposure deliberate.

Market-making software needs agreed limits on what it may quote, hold and hedge.

Quoting and liquidity

Define quote placement, refresh and cancellation rules, permitted price ranges and available liquidity inputs. Specify behaviour for stale market data, rapidly changing prices and uncertain cancellations, including conditions that stop new quotes.

Inventory and hedging

Set inventory boundaries, hedge triggers and treatment of residual positions. For on-chain routes, include signing responsibility, gas constraints and transaction-state handling. Operators need a clear account of outstanding orders, committed balances and exposures awaiting resolution.

FROM BRIEF TO HANDOVER

A build you can review.

  1. 01

    Map the route

Identify every venue, asset, account, data source and settlement dependency involved in the proposed system.

  2. 02

    Model the constraints

Agree fees, sizing, inventory limits and incomplete-leg handling using concrete worked scenarios.

  3. 03

    Test coordination

Exercise stale quotes, rejected legs and interrupted hedges through suitable simulation or test environments.

  4. 04

    Define operator control

Deliver exposure views, stop procedures, reconciliation notes and explicitly scoped rollout responsibilities.

Software tests and operational controls do not guarantee trading returns. Live access, deployment and operating limits are agreed separately.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Questions worth asking.

Do you supply an arbitrage strategy?

The engagement implements an agreed engineering specification. The examples here describe workflows to scope, not financial recommendations.

Can every leg execute together?

Do not assume that. The design must assess the chosen interfaces and define what happens when execution is incomplete.

What should we bring to discovery?

Bring your route diagram, venue shortlist, inventory model and exposure rules. Identify any capital-transfer or custody boundaries the software must respect.
