OFFCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

Repairs, migration & maintenance

Change the system without losing the rules.

When a trading tool breaks or its environment changes, start with the behaviour you need to preserve. OffchainTech scopes repairs, migrations and operational improvements from evidence about the existing system.

Illustrative delivery process. Feasibility depends on source access, rights and the target environment.

01 / SCOPE

Find the boundary of the problem.

A repair brief should separate observed failures from assumptions about their cause.

Reproduce and diagnose

Review available source, build instructions, dependencies and redacted logs. Capture the expected result and a repeatable example of the failure. Distinguish strategy-rule defects from data, configuration, connectivity or execution-state problems before agreeing the change.

Confirm rights and deliverables

Establish permission to inspect and modify the system, including third-party components. Agree whether delivery includes source code, compiled builds, configuration or documentation. Missing source or unclear licensing may limit the feasible repair or require a separately scoped replacement.

02 / SCOPE

Plan the transition as carefully as the build.

A new platform or runtime may require explicit decisions about behaviour that cannot transfer directly.

Migration and regression

Map rules, instruments, settings and order semantics between the current and target environments. Create baseline examples and regression checks, then document intentional differences. Do not assume a platform conversion preserves indicator values, timing or account behaviour without verification.

Deployment and maintenance

Scope packaging, environment configuration, observability and restart procedures. Define who approves rollout, manages access and responds to incidents. Include rollback prerequisites and any order or position reconciliation required before a previous build can safely resume.

FROM BRIEF TO HANDOVER

A build you can review.

  1. 01

    Collect the evidence

Share authorised source or builds, version details and redacted failure examples, without passwords or credentials.

  2. 02

    Agree the change

Define the repair or migration boundary, acceptance tests, exclusions and ownership or licensing terms.

  3. 03

    Compare and verify

Exercise both the changed behaviour and adjacent workflows, including recovery paths affected by the modification.

  4. 04

    Prepare the handover

Deliver release notes, setup and recovery instructions, test evidence and explicitly agreed maintenance responsibilities.

Software tests and operational controls do not guarantee trading returns. Live access, deployment and operating limits are agreed separately.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Questions worth asking.

Can you repair a bot without its source code?

An assessment may identify configuration or integration issues, but code changes depend on available access and rights. Feasibility is confirmed after review.

Is ongoing maintenance included automatically?

No. Monitoring, updates, incident handling and support boundaries should be included explicitly in the engagement.

Who owns the finished work?

Code ownership, licensing and third-party restrictions are agreed before implementation, together with the exact materials included in the handover.
