Signals & execution

Trading signal bridges. From validated input to execution.

A signal bridge needs more than an order button. Scope a traceable path from an authorised instruction to confirmed account state, including the moments when acknowledgements or connections disappear.

WORKFLOW / ENGINEERINGIllustrative

Controlled execution path

  1. 01Validate input
  2. 02Check permissions
  3. 03Track the order
  4. 04Reconcile state

Illustrative lifecycle, not a live connector or execution guarantee.

01 / SCOPE

Know what arrived and whether to act.

Define the signal contract before connecting it to an account.

Authorised sources

Assess TradingView alerts, webhooks, authorised Telegram channels, external model outputs and structured signal feeds. Agree sender validation, message formats, timestamps and duplicate identifiers. Edited, delayed or incomplete messages need a specified response rather than an inferred trading instruction.

Account and instrument mapping

Map incoming symbols, direction and size to the destination account. Check permitted instruments, available balances, exposure limits and operator stop state. Broker or exchange API scope can include market data, orders and balances, subject to the required account permissions.

02 / SCOPE

Handle the order beyond submission.

A network timeout is an unknown outcome until the destination state is checked.

Partial fills and cancellation

Specify how remaining quantities, rejections and cancel requests are tracked. Define what happens if a fill arrives while cancellation is pending, and when an operator must decide whether the remaining instruction is still valid.

Retries and restart recovery

Persist identifiers and decision history, then reconcile open orders and positions before resuming. Retry policies should distinguish a confirmed failure from a missing response, with escalation when the actual account state cannot be established.

FROM BRIEF TO HANDOVER

A build you can review.

  1. 01

    Inspect the interfaces

Review sample signals, destination documentation and the permissions required for the proposed workflow.

  2. 02

    Define state transitions

Agree validation, sizing, routing, cancellation and operator intervention rules before implementation.

  3. 03

    Exercise failures

Test duplicates, stale inputs, partial fills, unavailable destinations and restart reconciliation where the environment permits.

  4. 04

    Prepare operations

Deliver configuration, event logs, alerts and a runbook with a separately approved live rollout boundary.

Software tests and operational controls do not guarantee trading returns. Live access, deployment and operating limits are agreed separately.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Questions worth asking.

Can you connect any broker or exchange?

Access must be assessed for the selected provider and account. A named platform does not imply an existing or universally compatible connector.

Can a bridge guarantee the expected fill?

No. Controls govern software behaviour; liquidity, price movement and destination behaviour can still affect execution.

What information helps you scope a bridge?

Provide redacted signal samples, the intended destination and your exception rules. Do not send API secrets or account passwords.
